Modge Podge and Canvas= art

I have been wanting to somehow transpose a picture of the Jordan River Temple to a canvas. I wasn't sure how to do it until I came across this post here. She used stamps, but I am sure you could use whatever you want.

All you need for this project is:

photo of choice
Paint brush
A large printer or your local Kinkos
1 canvas
Wax paper and brayer (optional)

Directions:
1. Take the photo to Kinko's and blow it up to the size that will fit the canvas.

2. Use Modge Podge to adhere the entire sheet to your canvas. You can place wax paper on top while it is still wet and use a brayer to try to smooth out any bubbles. You can wrap your paper around the sides as well to give the art a more finished look.

3. Let dry and attach hanging bracket or wire to the back for hanging.

Christmas Board

Here is a cute idea. You could do this with any holiday of event...

There are a lot of cute ideas on this website.

Rag Quilt

I thought this quilt was awesome. Seems easy enough...

Pillow Talk

What a fun pillowcase! Instead of the word dream, you could do your child's name.

Down to the studs

We finally got a move on remodeling the bathroom. The bathroom has only had a 1/2 remodel in its 37 year history. So we tore out the five layers of floor and actually found the original linoleum. We took down the wall paneling (found some wallpaper samples) and trashed the tub. Once we were down to the studs we found that we had water damage, so we had to tear out the wall, we joked about making a walk out shower or possibly a bay window. So with the help of Ben and Mike, we got a new window and wall put in. Yesterday, Matt worked on the plumbing all day. He had to weld new pipes for the new shower faucet. He did an excellent job. Finally at the end of the day, we got the tub in place and the plumbing set. We picked out some awesome tile for the floor and for the walls in the shower. We are going to use a butcher block for the countertop with shelves underneath with baskets for our stuff. The sink is going to be a vessel sink with a cool faucet.

Here are some project photos .
